• Place the bike on the center stand and remove the current shock absorber.
• Place the Hyperpro shock in the bike, type 461 with reservoir as shown in the picture. If your shock is equipped with the optional hydraulic preload adjuster place the banjo bolt of the HPA to the right side of the bike.
• Use the two added clamps and rubber blocks to mount the reservoir on the sub frame.

Special Instructions for Air Connections
1. To cut the tubing correctly an appropriate cutter must be used (not a scissors)
2. When inserting the tubing into the connection it must be pushed in approximately 14mm until a click is heard.
3. To remove the tube, push the flange on the connection and at the same time pull the tube. (No tool is necessary.)
4. ATTENTION, when a tube is removed it is important to trim 14mm from the end before reconnection.
5. IT is advisable that LOCKTITE be used on the threaded fittings.

This is what we’re starting with; a bone stock engine bay. The first step is to disconnect the negative battery cable. This will help to prevent any potential electrical problems, and also will “reset” the PCM so that the computer will be able to “re-learn” the engine with the new intake in place. The diagram illustrates 8-3/4? axles. The top is a 66-72 A-body axle. and the other two are longer axles that generally resemble the B and C body and truck axles. C body and truck axles can be shortened and resplined by a quality machine shop, however it is important to note that not all C-body/ Truck axles are created equally.
The top axle shows that at the location of where the new splines will be (26? from bearing retaining plate to the end of the axle, see measurement #2 in the diagram) the outside diameter (OD) must be larger than what the OD of the spline needs to be.
