LAUNCH Key Matching Instruction for OPEL 1 Key Matching Instruction for OPEL Immobilizer and Anti-Theft Warning System The main available function of X-431 is [Match Remote Key] for Anti-Theft Alarm system of OPEL and [Match Ignition Key] for the immobilizer system. Please follow the screen tips to perform the easy operation. Precautions: 1) The engine can be started only with the authorized keys that have been matched with the vehicle immobilizer controller. 2) When performing key matching, always match all the keys at the same time with the vehicle immobilizer control unit. 3)
For the sake of security, all other authorized keys must be re-matched with X-431 if one of the authorized key was lost; thus the lost key becomes unauthorized and cannot be used to start the engine. The operation for immobilizer system is similar to that of the anti theft warning system. Here we only take give the

operation procedures for the anti theft warning system (take OPEL diagnostic program V15.00 as an example). Insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to ON position; 3. Enter [Body]?[Anti Theft Warning] system; 4. Select [Programming] function in the function menu. The screen will display an interface as shown in the left figure. You are required to input the 4 digits password. 5. After inputting the right password, the screen will display the function selection menu as shown in the left figure. Notes: ? [Erase key] function is used to erase the current keys; thus the lost keys will become unauthorized and cannot be used to start the engine. ? [Programming] function is used to re-match current keys or add new keys; after matching, the keys will become authorized and can be used to start the engine.
