1 removal. Negative battery cable. 2. remove the top two bolts from the intake manifold bracket. 3. Increase vehicle and support. 4.5. 6.7. 8. remove the two bolts on the clutch release cylinder and pressure aside (M/T). Delete the bottom two intake manifold bracket bolts. Inlet manifold bracket delete. Remove the two top starter bolts. Remove the lower starter bolt. 9.10. 11.12. Pull the starter of the link (M/T)/torque converter (a/t) housing and prop instead. Reduce the vehicle. Disconnect from above, the S-terminal connector. Remove lock nut and washer on B-terminal. 13.14. 15.16. B-disconnect terminal. Increase and support vehicle. Transmission wire harness aside. Remove Starter. Installation 1. Place starter in the engine well. 2. less vehicle. 3. connect the B-terminal wire. 4. install washer and nut on B-terminal and twist. 5. connect the S-terminal. 6.7. 8.9. 10. Lower intake manifold bracket into position

RELEASE to prevent loss of brake fluid cylinder removal during delete, the broken link slave cylinder steel hydraulic line must be connected or directed in a suitable container. 1. Disconnect flexible hose steel hydraulic line. Notice: Twisting can damage the hose flex. 2. Remove hydraulic line retainer clip. 3. remove two bolts. Disassembly 1. Flexible hose, boat, and remove push rod. 2. remove the piston and CAP spring Assembly and return. 3. Remove Drainage mechanism CAP, venting screw and steel ball. 4. use brake fluid inner parts to clean. Inspect inspection after cleaning, the following parts: 1. Release cylinder bore and piston for wear. 2. Weak return spring. Meeting 1. Coat the piston and cups with clean brake fluid. 2. place steel ball in cylinder Drainage mechanism hole and securely with venting screw. 3. About venting screw end pushing Drainage CAP mechanism. 4. place of return spring and piston and cup meeting in cylinder bore.

2003 Kia Rio Cinco Service and Repair TIMING BELT

REMOVAL 1. Disconnect negative battery cable. 2. Loosen power steering lock bolts and nuts accordingly and remove tension from Power Steering (P/S) and/or Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor drive belt. 3. Remove P/S and/or A/C drive belt. 4. Loosen generator mounting bolts and adjusting bolt. 5. Remove generator bolts. 6. Remove water pump pulley. 7. Remove crankshaft pulley and timing belt guide plate. 8. Remove upper and lower timing belt covers. 9. Turn crankshaft so that timing mark on timing belt pulley is aligned with timing mark on engine. 10. Check that “I” mark on intake camshaft pulley is aligned with mark on cylinder head cover and “E” mark on exhaust camshaft pulley is aligned with mark on

Warning: do not work under a vehicle stopped only by a jack. Place jack safely under the vehicle manufacture in the specified location. 2. Spray all the rubber rings with a spray lubricant to ease of removal of the system. 3 see (fig. 1). Remove the 2 notes on the flange. Pull the exhaust of the pendants. See (fig. 2) 4. You will then the black cover that relate to the bumper to make the cut for the tip exhaust. You will get different screws holding the of under/back of the bumper. See (fig. 3) 5. KIA SPECTRA turbocharger KIT Installation Instructions

Initial disassembly 1. Disconnect the battery. Remove battery and the battery tray. 2. Using floor jack, elevate front end and place securely on jack stands. 3. Drain the coolant from the radiator. Capture and save for re-use. 4. Remove both upper and lower radiator hoses. 5. Remove front bumper. 6. Remove both headlights. 7. Remove steel inner bumper. 8. Remove the entire air cleaner assembly, including housing, ducting, and the MAF sensor. 9. Disconnect and remove horns. 10. Remove dipstick and dipstick tube. 11. Remove exhaust manifold. Remove oxygen sensor from manifold for reuse. 12. Loosen alternator tensioner and remove alternator belt. 13. Remove power steering pump belt and then pump (Note: Do not remove lines from pump, lay pump over towards inner fender). 14. Remove power steering pump bracket. 15. Remove bracket holding wires to Crank Position Sensor and Oil Temp Sensor.

CONDITION 4 wheel drive mode failure (diagnosed during or after replacing the knuckles and hub seals) due to inadequate vacuum is applied to the hubs. In some cases cause moisture the vacuum system and vacuum lines are corroded, connected, or have developed a leak. CORRECTIVE action verify that with 4 wheel drive mode selected, vacuum is present on the T-piece downstream of the solenoid (see photo). If not, diagnose and repair as required, use the following procedure otherwise replacing the vacuum lines: Note: Procedure is applicable to the right side line; left should no further info. Disconnect and remove the battery and the battery tray. Leaving ground cables connected, clamp bracket removing battery tray down and move out of the way.
