2000 Jaguar XJ8 Power Windows description & operation

XJ8, XJR, XKR & XK8 the door windows are controlled by the driver door Control Module (DDCM) with input from switches located on the driver door armrests. When passenger windows be operated of driver door switches, it sends a standard Corporate DDCM Protocol (SCP) message to selected door control module. To print a passenger window switch inputs directly to selected door control module. Press the rear part of window switch lowers window, while urgent front of switch window will increase. One-touch open is a function of the power-window system. If a window-switch is pressed for 50-250 milliseconds, the window is fully open. If switch is held longer than 250 milliseconds, stops window position is in when switch is released. For the protection of works, a thermal cut-out window motors (circuit breaker) if system is overloaded. 2003 Jaguar X-Type rear DISC BRAKE CALIPER removal installation

1 removal. Open compartment hood and fit paint protection covers for fenders. Increase and support vehicle. Remove wheels. 2. release the tension on the parking brake cable by moving the brake lever parking brake caliper from the end of the cable. Remove the brake lever cable cable parking. See fig. 32. 3. remove the parking brake cable from the rear caliper. Remove the retaining clip on vehicles with manual custom parking brakes. See fig. 33. On vehicles with self-adjusting parking brakes, release the tabs on the parking brake cable housing. See fig. 38. Note: to prevent the loss of brake fluid, application of the brake pedal hold tools and customize to keep the brake pedal down 1.6.5? (40 mm). A bottle Drainage mechanism to install the bleed nipple and los of the bleed nipple. 4. Remove Union bolt from the rear brake caliper slang and sealing washers ignore. See fig. 61. Brake hose from rear brake caliper delete. 5. tighten the bleed nipple and remove the venting tube and bottle. Delete and ignore the rear caliper retaining bolts. See fig. 62. 1999 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas suspension description

The XJR and XJ8 uses an independent coil spring-type rear suspension. Outer bearing carrier and hub Assembly is supported by control arm underneath, and uses axis axis as top support. Suspension coil spring/shock absorber is controlled by 2 assemblies. Fulcrum shafts connect chassis control weapons and hub carrier used. See fig. 1. & wheel alignment ADJUSTMENTS inspection specifications & PROCEDURES Note: HUB bearing PRELOAD Hub bearing preload is controlled by shim adjustment between Hub component and hub outer poll. Shims are available in various thicknesses. 1 check it out. Increase and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Clamp dial indicator mount to hub carrier. External indicator pointer contacts hub flange. 2. using 2 Levers between the hub and the hub carrier, press passive hub. Note read on external indicator. The difference between external indicator readings is preload of lower hub. See & for adaptation, HUB carrier under disposal installation. REAR SUSPENSION HEIGHT 1. Ensure vehicle has full fuel tank, all liquids were awarded and tire pressure correct.

2000-2008 Jaguar S-Type (X 200) unable to reduce climate control outlet temperature – diagnostic Procedure

CONDITION summary: Situation: the outlet temperature of the climate control system may not be reduced from the driver or the passenger face and side openings; also, there may be an extreme difference between the driver and passenger sides. This problem can be caused by an error in the Dual coolant control valve (DCCV) or dual automatic temperature control (DATC) or causes an electrical circuit. Action: In case of a customer care of the above, refer to the diagnostic Procedure below to help determine whether the error is the electrical or mechanical. DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 1. Verify a/c compressor operation, refrigerant charge level, and system privileges and grounds. 2. Start the engine. 3. using the dual automatic temperature control (DATC), select: ' high temperature ' x ' high ' fan speed x ' x ' and ' PANEL ' modes 4 RECIRC. Action In case of a complaint of the customer of the above condition on a 2002-04 MY X-TYPE vehicle within the above range VIN, the first operation of the air inlet door mix test. The fan speed set to MAX and manually select the recirc button, there must be an audible difference in climate control temperature engine noise.
