Volvo 850 R cushion module removal and installation

Note: cushion module has a 10-digit identification number to be used when ordering replacement module. removal and installation (driver's side) 1. before you proceed, follow cushion service precautions. See precautions for service. disable cushion system. See Disabling and activating cushion system . 2. Turn key to start locking of the steering column . Remove steering wheel tilt adjuster (if available), steering column on the lower panel coating and strengthen set in the knee. 3. remove the 2 torx No. 30 screws from the rear of the steering wheel. see Figure 6. Pull airbag module from the steering wheel to break wiring connector. Install srs test resistor (988 8695) instead of the cushion module to prevent the formation of fault codes. see Figure 7. 4. to install, you must restore the procedure for removal. Tighten bolts cushion module specification. see torque specifications . turn key position. connect the negative battery cable. ensure the proper functioning of the system. See the operation of the verification system. 5. If, after the replacement cushion module fault code cushion module , clear the codes and verify the operation of the system again. If still srs warning light indicates a failure, type self-diagnostics and retrieve fault codes. See self-diagnostic system for diagnosis and testing. removal and installation (passenger-side) 1. before you proceed, follow cushion service precautions. See precautions for service. disable cushion system. See Disabling and activating cushion system . 2. disconnect the glove box lid. use the screwdriver and hand between each side of the bonnet, pry is hands. Remove the glove box torx screws and compartment. see Figure 8. Disconnect the seat cushion module connector from the lower side of the module. Remove 4 cushion module screws from the beginning of the glove compartment. 3. Remove side defroster outlet screw caps and screws. rotates a 4 vent nozzles down and removal. Remove nozzles and air duct on the right side. Remove speaker grilles and speakers. Disconnect the speaker connectors. Remove 9 retaining screws of the instrument panel and exclude the Panel cover from the top of the frame above the central console.
