remove 1. remove the ignition key. Remove engine stabilizer bracket. the Turbo models remove the plastic pipes between the turbochargers and charge air cooler and between the turbochargers and air filter and work. fallow them. 2. Remove clamp from inlet manifold for compressor cylinders No 1, 2 and 3. inclusion of the upper part of the tube to the firewall. all models raise reservoir with power steering fluid and is placed on the engine. Note: 3. using the 15 mm wrench, rotate the ancillary drive belt tensioner clockwise to relieve the tension of the tape. see Figure 1. lift off ancillary drive belt. remove the upper timing belt cover. ensure power steering fluid does not leak from ventilation. 4. Remove air tube cover, surround and control module field. remove the thermostat housing and hose between the expansion vessel. remove the front timing belt cover. 5. seal the hose between the expansion tank and radiator. Disconnect the hose of the expansion vessel. lift expansion vessel and placed on the engine. 6. raise and support the vehicle. remove the right front wheel. Remove plastic nuts from cover in the fender liner. install the upper timing belt cover. 7. rotate the crankshaft clockwise until the timing marks are aligned. see Figure 2. Rotate the crankshaft a further 1/4 turn clockwise, then Rotate counterclockwise until the marks are aligned. 8. remove the upper timing belt cover. remove the 4 vibration damper screws. remove the vibration damper. Remove accessory drive belt. of models with hydraulic timing belt tensionergo to the next step. the models without hydraulic timing belt tensionergo to step 11. 9. install counterhold (999 5433) and remove the crankshaft Center nut. see Figure 3. Remove counterhold and accessories drive belt pulley. 10. remove the timing belt tensioner/hydraulic unit, then loosen the top screw bottom screw. inclusion tensioner hydraulic unit, so that the cylinder is free. remove the lower screw. remove the tensioner hydraulic unit. remove the timing belt. 11. remove the belt cover behind the crankshaft rolls for an auxiliary drive belt. spray universal oil around the rubber sleeve on the underside of the oil pump. Remove rubber bung. 12. slightly loosen the timing belt tensioner Center screw. hold the screw rotation. Nut to Rotate counterclockwise to eccentric use 6 mm hex wrench in eccentric, is 10 °hours position. see Figure 4. remove the timing belt.
