2001 Jaguar XJ8 self-diagnostic system malfunction Indicator light (MIL)

Malfunction Indicator light (MIL) for most Dtcs, the Check-Engine Indicator (located in the lower portion of the tachometer) illuminate when an error is detected on the second cycle of the station. See fig. 1. Only catalyst-harmful misfires, certain internal ECM failures and Controller Area Network (CAN) errors will alleviate the motor check Indicator when the error is detected on the first cycle of the disk. In certain circumstances displayed the Message Center (located in the lower portion of the speedometer), debt warning data simultaneously with the motor control Indicator, or when an error is detected on the first cycle of the disk. Also, in certain circumstances, the Amber or Red MIL (situated above the Message Center) simultaneously with the engine-check Indicator and Message center that represents the priority of the error. Red MIL indicates a primary warning, loss of power and handling. Vehicle driving. Amber MIL indicates a secondary warning, loss of power and handling. Vehicle can still be driven.Download
