Service and repair removal and installation 2002 Kia Sportage starter motor
1 removal. Negative battery cable. 2. remove the top two bolts from the intake manifold bracket. 3. Increase vehicle and support. 4.5. 6.7. 8. remove the two bolts on the clutch release cylinder and pressure aside (M/T). Delete the bottom two intake manifold bracket bolts. Inlet manifold bracket delete. Remove the two top starter bolts. Remove the lower starter bolt. 9.10. 11.12. Pull the starter of the link (M/T)/torque converter (a/t) housing and prop instead. Reduce the vehicle. Disconnect from above, the S-terminal connector. Remove lock nut and washer on B-terminal. 13.14. 15.16. B-disconnect terminal. Increase and support vehicle. Transmission wire harness aside. Remove Starter. Installation 1. Place starter in the engine well. 2. less vehicle. 3. connect the B-terminal wire. 4. install washer and nut on B-terminal and twist. 5. connect the S-terminal. 6.7. 8.9. 10. Lower intake manifold bracket into position and insert the two upper bolts. Increase and support vehicle. Place starter in position. Place the top two starter bolts. Lower insert bolt starter. Note:: The starter may need to be adjusted after installation. If necessary, rotate the starter to something providing the right permissions. 11. turn the three starter bolts. Tighten the bolts to 27-40 lb-ft (37-54 n. m). 12. Insert lower bracket bolts and twist. Tighten the bolts to 27-40 lb-ft (37-54 n. m). 13. Insert link release cylinder and install bolts (M/T). Tighten the bolts to 27-40 lb-ft (37-54 n. m). 14. Lower vehicle.Download
