2003 Buick Rendezvous CX differential link pump CHECK valve removal installation

Disposal Drain the differential lubricant. See Lubrication. Break the link pump check valve electric connector. Remove the link pump check valve mounting bolts. See fig. 1. Remove the link pump check valve by carefully pulling directly from the differential carrier. Remove the "O" ring seals from the valve. The "O" ring seals can be reused as not cut or damaged. If reinstalling the original valve, inspect for damaged, loose or missing pick up damaged screen, "O" rings, is missing or damaged electrical connector, or oil passages limited by mud or debris. Installation Note: inspect the link pump check valve "O" ring seals to ensure they do not cut or damaged. Replace damaged or cut with "O" ring seals new seals. 1. lubricate the seals "O" ring with synthetic transmission oil (12378514 for the United States) or Canada for 88901045 or equivalent. Install the "O" ring seals the valve. The link to install the pump check valve differential carrier by carefully pushing the valve in straight until fully seated. 2. install the link pump check valve mounting bolts. See fig. 1. Tighten the bolts to specification. See torque specifications. Close the link pump check valve electric connector. Differential fluid level inspection. See Lubrication. Differential fill as necessary.
