2001 Acura MDX DTC P1491: EGR valve insufficient Elevator

Reset The PCM. 2. start the engine. Hold the engine at 3000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on. 3. Drive the car about 10 minutes under stress. Try to keep the engine in the range 1700-2500 RPM. 4. check the temporary DTC verification tool. Displays whether the temporary DTC P1491? Yes – go to step 5. NO – periodic setbacks, the current system is not OK. Check for poor connections or loose wires for valve EGR and PCM. 5. turn off the ignition. 6. disconnect the 6 P connector EGR valve. 7. start the engine and let it idle. 8. measurement of the voltage between the EGR valve 6 P connector terminals No. 4 and no. 6. There are about 9 – 10 V? Yes – go to step 9. There is no known-good PCM, and instead check. If the symptom goes away, replace the original PCM. 9. turn off the ignition. 10. turn the ignition switch on (II). 11. measuring the voltage between the EGR valve 8 P connector terminals No. 2 and no. 3. There are about 5 V? Yes – go to step 13. NO, skip to step 12. 12. measurement of voltage between PCM connector terminals C18 and the British. There are about 5 V? Yes – repair in the wire between the EGR valve and PCM (C18, British). NO – replace good PCM, and recheck. If the symptom goes away, replace the original PCM. 13. turn off the ignition.
