PROBABLE CAUSE of the torque converter is corrupted. Corrective actions to replace or torque converter and torque converter, transfer and updating of the PCM with HDS. Note: you must update the PCM to complete repair Repair procedure (b) follow the steps in the Exchange guarantee service bulletin 90-009, automatic exchange-guarantee the transfer to buy remanufactured A/T, replace the failed A/T and back A/T core. 1. remove the transfer: • see. page 14-203 2004 Service Manual (MDX), or • online, enter the keyword A/T REM and then A/T delete from the list. 2. NET transmission cooler. Contact the service bulletin 89-015, ATF cooler clean. 3. Select the processed transfer: • see. page 14-215 2004 Service Manual (MDX), or • online, enter a keyword, A/T install and select A/T from the list. 4. software update PGM-FI using the HDS version 1.018.016 or later (see software). Contact the service bulletin 01-026 update ECM PCM. 5. Downtime procedures will learn: • make sure all appliances (a/c, audio system, heating, lighting, etc.) should be disabled. • Start the engine and let it run until you reach normal operating temperature (cooling fan cycles twice). • Let the idle engine with throttle fully closed for 10 minutes.
